At last the grey skies have gone away as well as the fog which has been hanging around, day after day. Whilst some trees still have a number of leaves left to drop, most of them are quite bare now, their fallen leaves carpeting the ground everywhere. Seed leaves can be seen poking out from beneath this carpet, showing how mild it must be for the time of year. The surrounding fields are way too green for Autumn, with self-seeded crops growing in amongst the harvested stubble.
Whilst mother nature puzzles about what season it is outside, inside I've already moved on to thoughts of Christmas. I always do around about now, otherwise it just won't happen.
