Season of mists and mellow fruitfulness

This brief post is to check that I have mastered the basics of how to make one!

I took the following picture in April a few years ago when spring was well and truly here.  Yesterday at sunset I walked past the purposeless gate into the fields to take a picture of a local village in our current season.

It is still autumn according to the Met Office and the seasonal mists and mellow fruitfulness are with us.  Whilst fog cleared for a while in the afternoon it started to travel across the fields again at sunset creating the most wonderful atmosphere of stillness and tranquility as it descended over the village.

The local horses didn't seem too bothered by the fog as they grouped together around one of their fences.

Hopefully this first post of mine has successfully made it to blog-land!
